Back in his hometown on a break from college, Noah tries to find some sort of familiarity that will help him escape his current frustration. He chooses to crash his ex-girlfriend's party perhaps intending to reconnect with her. Having not spoken in almost two years, Noah and Heather meet again at her end-of-semester party. The night then becomes theirs and theirs only, as they try to escape the sadness that seems to have taken over their lives, at least for a short moment.

On the day of his high school prom, Sebastian, an aspiring photographer, receives the decision letter from his dream college. Its arrival triggers a series of memories and fears that will keep him from opening the letter and force him to come to terms with who he really is and what he really wants.
